The
Bureau of Veterans' Services has raised the necessary funds for a bronze plaque
and commemorative coins for Maine’s living female veterans. The plaque
was hung and dedicated in the State House Hall of Flags on February 18,
2011. There has been a great interest expressed by the families of
Maine’s deceased female veterans to honor their service as well with a
commemorative coin. Therefore, we are continuing to accept donations in
honor of our deceased female veterans. All donations are greatly
appreciated.
